Horn Copper, also known as copper-made deflection coil, is named for its trumpet-like appearance. It is commonly found in older models of Cathode Ray Tube (CRT) TVs and monitors, and is responsible for guiding electron flow to the correct position on the screen to create images. The horn copper consists of a copper wire coil wrapped around a certain part of the CRT neck, also known as a deflection coil. Its primary function is to produce a magnetic field when an electric current passes through the copper wire coil. This magnetic field is used to manipulate the direction of the electron beam emitted from the electron gun at the back of the CRT to the fluorescent screen at the front, which lights up the pixels to form images.
