A copper aluminum radiator often refers to a radiator that has purple copper heat dissipation tubes and aluminum heat dissipation fins. This combination attempts to balance the high thermal conductivity of copper with the lightweight characteristics of aluminum. Copper aluminum radiators were once used in some high-performance cars and vehicles in specific fields, such as in modified cars or vintage cars that required extra cooling performance.
Below are detailed images of an iron-copper aluminum radiator head after the radiator has been removed. It includes an iron plate used for securing the radiator and a portion of the purple copper tubes.
