The recycling value of old mobile phones is relatively high. Among them, touchscreen phones can have their detachable parts resold as second-hand items, with a value of around 6,850 to 8,220 USD per ton. The chips inside the phones can be removed and sold separately. The scrap value of the phone circuit boards is very high, reaching over 27,400 USD per ton. New mainboards are more valuable than old ones. The contact points on the keypads of old-style phones are gold-plated, generating extremely high value. However, the other components have low value, lacking high-level circuit boards and advanced chips, so they are worth about 2,740 to 4,110 USD per ton. A simple processing method is to directly smelt them for copper bricks. After removing the casing and partitions, they are placed into the furnace. Aluminum shells can be sold at a slightly lower price than aluminum alloy. Some inner partitions are made of 304 stainless steel, which can be sold separately.
