Aluminum radiators, also known as aluminum water tanks, are the most common type in modern vehicles, with both the heat pipes and heat sinks made of aluminum. In the selection of aluminum alloys, radiators typically use high thermal conductivity aluminum alloys, such as 3003 or 6061 series, as these alloys offer good thermal conductivity, formability, and corrosion resistance, meeting the application requirements of radiators. Some also use 4000 series alloys for radiators or other cooling system components, as they contain silicon, providing specific thermal conductivity properties. Aluminum radiators are lightweight, cost-effective, and their thermal conductivity meets the cooling needs of most modern cars. Due to these advantages, aluminum radiators are widely used in various passenger cars, SUVs, light and medium commercial vehicles.
