The 1000 series aluminum alloy is primarily composed of more than 99% aluminum, belonging to the pure aluminum alloy series. Its main elements and properties are as follows:
Element composition:
Aluminum (Al): The main component, usually accounting for more than 99%.
Iron (Fe): Present in small amounts, but many 1000 series aluminum alloys contain trace amounts of iron.
Silicon (Si): Present in small amounts, sometimes used to increase the fluidity of aluminum.
Copper (Cu), magnesium (Mg), manganese (Mn), and other elements: Usually present in very small amounts, not exceeding 0.05%.
Properties:
High conductivity and thermal conductivity: The 1000 series aluminum alloy has excellent conductivity and thermal conductivity, making it commonly used in electrical and thermal conductivity applications.
Good corrosion resistance: Pure aluminum has good corrosion resistance, especially in atmospheric environments.
Good processability: Easy to shape, process, and weld.
Lower strength: Due to the high purity of aluminum, the strength is relatively lower than other alloys.
